NOTHING BUT THIEVES releasen ihren neuen Song „Unperson“

 

Und haben wir sie! NOTHING BUT THIEVES veröffentlichen ihre neue Song „Unperson“, inklusive Musikvideo. Vorbesteller ihres dritten Albums „Moral Panic“, das am 23. Oktober erscheinen wird, bekommen den Song schon jetzt als gratis Download. Zuvor reichte das Quintett aus Southend bereits die Tracks „Is Everybody Going Crazy?“ und „Real Love Song“ als Vorgeschmack auf das kommende Album.

 

 

„Unperson“ wurde von Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys and Wolf Alice) produziert und markiert eine Rückkehr ins Heavy Rock Spektrum der Band. Mit passgenau aufs Zeitgeschehen formulierten Lyrics satteln Nothing But Thieves zu einem intensiven dreiminütigen Ritt. „This is not what you think it is – it’s worse!“ Kurzum: Ein absolutes Monster von einem Track.

Die zuvor veröffentlichte Single „Real Love Song“ wurde von BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac zum „Hottest Record in the World“ gekürt, von BBC Radio One auf die B Playlist genommen und verzeichnet bereits mehr als drei Millionen Streams weltweit. „Is Everybody Going Crazy?“ war mit acht Wochen Verweildauer in der Radio 1 Playlist der bislang größter Airplayhit der Band. Mit weltweit elf Millionen Streams feierte die Band mit dem inhaltlich verblüffend zeitgemäßen Dark-Rock-Song, der eine zerbrochene, kaum wiedererkennbare Zivilisation und das Verlangen nach Eskapismus beschreibt, eine fulminante Rückkehr.  
 
„Unperson“, „Real Love Song“ und „Is Everybody Going Crazy?“ sind die ersten neuen Nothing But Thieves Songs seit der EP „What Did You Think When You Made Me This Way” aus dem Herbst 2018. Im September 2017 hatte die Band ihr hochgelobtes Album „Broken Machine“ veröffentlicht, das #2 der UK Album Charts erreicht hatte. Zwei Jahre zuvor war das selbstbetitelte Debütalbum erschienen. Nun gab die Band den Namen und das Veröffentlichungsdatum ihres dritten Albums bekannt: „Moral Panic“ wird ab dem 23. Oktober erhältlich sein und ist ab sofort hier vorbestellbar.
